Hi, I’m Anne Ziegenhorn.
I am proud to announce my candidacy for House District 3.
A Foundation in Education and Community
Raised in the small town of Wells in southern Minnesota, I graduated from Wells Easton High School in 1988 and went on to earn my teaching degree from Mankato State University. My dedication to education initially brought me to Alliance, Nebraska, where I had my first introduction to the energy industry. There, I witnessed firsthand the vital role of coal, teaching children whose families depended on the mines and the railroads that moved our nation's energy.
In 2006, I moved to Wyoming to join the faculty at Wright Junior/Senior High School. Over the past two decades, I have served our community as an educator and coach—teaching Physical Education, Spanish, junior high math intervention, and advising the yearbook staff. Living in Wright has been an absolute privilege; the deep-rooted connections and tight-knit, small-town atmosphere make this community truly special.

I am running for the Legislature because I am deeply committed to driving positive, common-sense changes for our region. My platform focuses on key pillars that will secure a prosperous future for our families:
Expanding Energy Production: Energy is the backbone of our economy. I am a fierce advocate for significantly increasing our production of gas, oil, and coal to keep Campbell County economically robust. Furthermore, by expanding rare earth mineral production, we can drive regional economic growth that lifts up our neighbors in Crook County.
Bringing Common Sense to Education: As a long-time educator, academic excellence and common-sense leadership in our schools are my passions. I will work tirelessly to elevate our education system, ensure our schools improve, and give our teachers the support they need.
Investing in Infrastructure and Safety: The citizens of Campbell County deserve dependable infrastructure. I will prioritize securing safer roads and better transportation safety across our county.
Sustaining Growth and Keeping Families Together: We need to foster an environment where our county can grow and thrive, creating opportunities that welcome our young people back home to build their lives and careers.
